The last weeks have seen both parties intensify their long -range strike operations, even when peace conversations negotiated in the United States continue in an attempt to end the invasion of their 3 -year neighbor of Russia.
Ukrainian President VolodyMyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday night that his nation urgently needs to “strengthen his air defense capabilities in response to intensifiers missile attacks and drones of Russia against cities throughout the country.
The northeast city of Jharkiv, which is located around 19 miles from the Russian border, was one of those who attacked this weekend. At least three people died and 23 were injured there on Saturday, according to the head of the local military administration. At least four more people were killed by strikes in other parts of the country, authorities said.
“We are working to strengthen Ukraine Air Defense,” said Zelenskyy, according to a reading published on the website of his office. “We urgently need positive signals from the United States, concrete signals regarding air defense systems. We are still waiting for an answer to our request to buy systems that can help, concrete signals, not words.”
“I would like to thank European countries for supplies,” he added. “We must also achieve results in the joint production of air defense systems and missiles for them; this is absolutely essential for our entire Europe. Only time separates us from that result, and what matters most is shortening that time.”
Zelenskyy and his senior officials frame the expanding attacks of Russia, and the growing figures of Ukrainian civil victims, as proof that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not genuine in his apparent will to negotiate a peace agreement.
The last barriers of Russia followed the Ukrainian Ukrainian operation last weekend in which the agents used more than 100 hidden drones in large trucks to attack strategic bases of bombers at the bottom of Russia. Moscow promised revenge for the attacks, that Ukrainian officials celebrated as a historical success.
Zelenskyy said on Saturday that recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities cannot be excused as “reprisals”, and again urged Western partners to do more to force Putin to relieve maximum peace demands that equals Ukrainian capitulation.
“You can’t relieve any form of pressure on Russia,” he said. “The Russians are preparing to continue the war and ignore all peace proposals. They must be responsible for this.”

“We are aware that Russians are now trying to demonstrate that they are supposedly immune to any pressure,” Zelenskyy added. “But it is very important that the world understands it: as well as the pressure forced Russia to the negotiation process, the pressure can force Russia to become realistic in negotiations.”
“This is precisely due to pressure and, above all, sanctions to Russian oil and those that still trade with Russia,” he said. “Russia must end this war that began. They must be pushed to this result.”
