Trump swear in Jeanine Pirro as the main prosecutor in DC

President Donald Trump will swear in Jeanine Pirro as the interim prosecutor of the United States for DC during a ceremony at the Oval office on Wednesday afternoon, making it the last host of Fox News appointed by Trump.

Earlier this month, Trump took advantage of Pirro, a former judge and prosecutor who recently received “The Fox” from Fox News, for work after the controversy over his previous selection, Ed Martin.

Martin, who had served as the main interim prosecutor of DC, lost republican support for work. Martin’s past, specifically his defense of the protesters of January 6 and the inflammatory rhetoric around the attack of the Capitol, plague his nomination.

Pirro, a Trump ally, faced his first test as the main federal prosecutor in Washington last week when he talked about the response to the deadly shooting of two employees of the Israeli embassy.

During a press conference, Pirro said his office is investigating the case as a crime of hate and an act of terrorism.

“A young couple at the beginning of the trip of their lives, about to participate in another country, removed the bodies in the cold of the night in a foreign city in a body bag. We are no longer going to tolerate that,” Pirro said during information about the press last Thursday. “Anti -Semitism will not be tolerated, especially in the capital of the nation.”

Pirro marks the last personality of Fox News to join the ranks of the Trump administration. Some of Fox News most notable students designated in Trump’s second administration include Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who was the host of “Fox & Friends Weekend “, and the FBI deputy director, Dan Bongino, who organized” without filtering with Bongino “before leaving the network in 2023.

Pirro has been a Trump ally for a long time, which dates back to his time as a prominent prosecutor in New York. She was one of the first defenders of her 2016 campaign and defended it publicly during the “Access Hollywood” tape scandal.

One of Trump’s final acts before leaving office in 2021 was to issue last minute forgiveness to Pirro’s ex -husband, a republican donor for a long time.

With less than an hour before his mandate finished, Trump granted a final forgiveness to Albert Pirro, who was sentenced more than two decades ago for 34 charges of conspiracy and tax evasion after it was discovered that he had incorrect more than $ 1 million in luxurious personal expenses in tax songs for their businesses.
