Democratic Senator Schiff again asks White House officials to reveal financial transactions

Democratic Senator Adam Schiff in a letter to the White House Cabinet Chief, Susie Wiles, sent on Monday, repeated his calls for the White House to issue a complete revelation of the financial transactions of senior officials.
The new question occurs after the California senator, along with another 25 Democratic members of the Congress, sent a separate letter to the Wiles in April that described their concern about possible ethics violations, asking for a commitment from all employees of the White House and the high -level executive branch and the employees of the executive branch for “expeditantly” all reports related to their transactions of values from the start of the start of Trump to the office of the Office of the Government Office, and to be made public.
That April letter was sent following the sudden pause of President Donald Trump that month of his wide set of rates, which caused a generalized concern of Schiff and other Democrats that those who are close to the president could have participated in the privileged information trade as the markets increased after the pause.
In his letter on Monday, addressed to Wiles as the first, but also, including the White House lawyer, David Warrington, Schiff points out that the High Executive Officials of the White House are “now beyond the maximum presentation period allowed for the people who began their service at the beginning of the administration of federal ethics law homework.
“The White House has not yet revealed any financial dissemination or transaction report, even after a generalized concern of a possible exchange of privileged information after the sudden pause of President Trump of Radical Tariffs at the beginning of April,” writes Schiff in the letter, first shared first with ABC News.

“According to the OGE dissemination database to date, they have not been made available to the Law of the Ethics Law in the Ethics Law in the Government and the public interest in the financial dissemination of the High Reports of the White House.
Asked by ABC News to comment on the letter, the White House spokesman, Kush Desai, said Monday: “The American people are still very concerned about the long and documented history of privileged information of Nancy Pelosi and anxiously awaits Adam Schiff refocusing his political acrobatics in serious problems, such as the Pelosi portfolio.”
Pelosi has faced accusations of exchanging privileged information during his time in Congress, but has denied any incorrectness.
Copied in the Schiff Charter there is also Jamieson Greer, interim director of the United States Government Ethics Office, and Scott Gast, the Ethics Lawyer in the White House lawyer’s office.
In their April letter, the Democrats requested a response from Wiles no later than May 9, 2025, and for a “detailed plan” on how the Administration plans to address any officials and employees who could have failed to present disseminations required from the beginning of the administration.
A Schiff spokesman said they received a recognition from the White House that they had received the letter, but that they did not give answers to their demands.
In the newest letter, Schiff requested that Wiles and Warrington send, no later than June 10, a list of all White House officials required to present new participating reports; An explanation for the lack of transmitting new participating reports to OG for second level review and certification; the current status and the early timeline for the presentation and public publication of all overdue dissemination; a list of the presentation extensions requested and granted by the designated ethics officials of the White House and the duration of these extensions; And if late presentation rates have been imposed for criminal presentations, as required by law.
“Transparency and compliance with ethics laws are essential. The American public deserves to know that those that serve the highest levels of government are free of financial conflicts and have complied with the laws designed to safeguard the integrity of the public service. I hope to review their answers,” concluded the senator.
Trump tariffs have faced a series of judicial challenges. A Court of Appeals restored Trump’s rates this week after a court order on Wednesday blocked them. The decision of the Court of Appeals represents the moment.
The block in tariffs occurred after the International Trade Court decided that the evocation of the administration of the International Law of Emergency Economic Powers does not give the President the right to establish “unlimited” tariffs. The Trump administration argued that the court order can damage its progress in negotiations.
Schiff has been a critic and target of Trump since his days in the camera. Former President Joe Biden, during his last hours in office, issued a preventive forgiveness for Schiff in relation to his work in the select committee of January 6 of the Chamber. Schiff has called that “unnecessary” and “reckless” forgiveness.
